Peninsula College (PC) is offering a dynamic and engaged artist the opportunity to be a vital part of the ceramics program as an Artist in Residence (AIR). The program is intended to advance the careers of ceramic artists and provide a role model of professional practice as well as enrich the learning environment for the students of PC. Successful candidates are committed to an active studio practice and collaborative community engagement. AIR is compensated with a private studio space (24/7 access), all firings, and studio materials. In exchange, the AIR is asked to volunteer 5 hours a week to assist in the technical aspects and creative environment of the ceramics studio. There is also an employment opportunity to teach ($35 per hr) 1 evening ceramic class per quarter through the PC Community Education program.
